Pleasing who?

From our early years we grow up seeking to please other people.  We do our best to please:

Parents

Teachers

Friends

Employers 

All of these people are important to please but it is more important to please The Lord our God. 

And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. (1 John 3:22 KJV)

What a great way to keep our life in check. We need to ask ourselves is our actions and attitudes pleasing to God?

What are you reading? Is it pleasing to God?

What are you watching?  Is it pleasing to God?

What people are you associating with?  Is it pleasing to God?

What placing are you going to?  Is it pleasing to God?

What direction are you going?  Is it pleasing to God?

How can we know what is pleasing to God?

We can only know this by reading His word and by communicating with Him in prayer

We can always hide our actions from others we we cannot hide from the eye of God.

Let us live our lives this week knowing that God keeps His eye on us.
